Glasnosthairy roundup

Glastonbury was pretty fun then, makes a change having a sunny weekend. I am always amazed about how few metal heads go. Nothing like a bit of Slayer instead of the Verve. Even if that man did shout at me a lot.

We lost a load of stuff
, a Mini KP effects pad, a Retro Phone DJ Headset and I think I lost about 30 CD's of electro/rock.  My sunglasses and a silly hat all pinched while we were DJing. Also some producer called Shuan bought my megaphone gave me £60 but never actually took the megaphone. So we owe him a megaphone.

Any leads on any of the above please get in touch.

Summer is threatening to break any day now

And we are threatening to break skulls. Ok well no we haven’t been swept away with the culture of knife crime. But the summers festival gigs are in and July is looking tasty. This time with more buttons to press.

21ST - JUNE - MUSIC PALACE WITH MEMPHIS BELLE & NAUGHTY JACK
This is a north London knee’s up. The Music Palace is a great little venue that is slinking into an R&B fight night out. We are coming with checkered shirts and cowboy boots to turn this on it’s head. Memphis will be hollering out the steers and Naughty Jack knocking back the drinks.

27TH 28TH 29TH JUNE - GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL
After saying No No No nein no way, it ruined us last year. BEEF ARE BACK. This time we will be playing More Slayer, More Shellac and getting More told off by the Hippies then ever before. Can’t wait – have our sex tent dried out and counting the days to ruin it again.

17TH - 20TH JULY - LATITUDE FESTIVAL SUFFOLK
We have been blessed with back to back weekends of sunshine for this show. It just sold out too. Oh shoot we better make some Merchandise. Just think of our little mugs on T-Shirts, or even little T-shirts on Mugs

Thanks everyone that came to the Arcola last week. Also thanks to Tom - Adam - and Time the performers. It was quite exciting to see all those people playing twister and ping pong. Lets hope they ask us back we could do a regular night of music spoken word and playing - i.e culture innit bruv.

Also exciting was the Latitude Launch and being announced for the Latitude Festival 17th - 20th July.

Beef Warehouse presents
"I will never play the Dane"
Free Admission

Beef Warehouse loves the smell of the greasepaint, the glare of footlights and the creaking of the boards beneath feet – which is lucky as Dalston’s ace Arcola Theatre has asked them and their talented friends to take over the theatre for one night only next Thursday (20th March).

And, for those without a diary or a day job, Thursday 20th March is the day before Good Friday, which means no work and no school the next day. Thanks Jesus.

Acts so far confirmed to appear include…

Tim Wells – a well travelled and highly regarded cockney geezer poet who also edits acclaimed poetry magazine, Rising, which John Cooper Clarke describes as “the reader’s wives of poetry mags” – will be enthralling the crowd with some magic words. “The suedehead bard of N16” The Guardian

Naughty Jack – who was recently described by Blues Matters magazine as “this year’s Seasick Steve” – will be dusting off his Dobro and playing selections from his champion debut album, ‘Good Times’.
